Moonkeep privacy policy

Effective 28 September 2026

Moonkeep is a single-player castle defence game with online leaderboards. This page explains exactly what the game keeps on your phone and what it sends.

Kept on your phone

Your sound, vibration and appearance settings, tutorial progress, your ten best runs, earned stone and castle upgrades, the Moon Charm, a recovery checkpoint for interrupted runs, a random player ID and your generated display name. Android may include this in your device backup if backups are turned on.

Sent to the leaderboard

When a run ends, Moonkeep sends:

When you open the leaderboard, the app sends your player ID so the server can mark your own row.

Who can see it

Your display name, best score and wave appear publicly on the weekly and all-time leaderboards inside the game. Your player ID is never shown to other players.

Service provider

The leaderboard runs on Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1. Like any web service, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver each request; Moonkeep does not store IP addresses. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.

What Moonkeep does not do

Keeping and deleting data

Leaderboard records are kept while the leaderboard operates. You can erase them at any time from Settings → Delete leaderboard data in the game. That removes your player ID, name, runs and scores from the server, and the game starts you with a new name. Uninstalling the game removes the data on your phone but not the leaderboard records; if you have already uninstalled, contact us with your generated display name and a recent score through Moonkeep’s itch.io page and they will be removed.

Children

Moonkeep is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

If these practices change, this page and its effective date will be updated. Questions: Moonkeep’s itch.io page.
